Puppies have small tummies but big energy needs, so they do best with 3–4 small meals a day up to 3 months old, switching to 3 meals until they're around 6 months, and 2 meals over 6 months. This helps keep their energy levels stable and supports healthy digestion. All our recipes are suitable for all breeds and life stages, so when to transition really depends on you and your pup. That said, we typically see pet parents make the switch between 12 to 18 months old - once their puppy’s growth has slowed and they’re ready for a larger kibble size.

Whilst all our recipes are suitable for all lifestages, we typically see owners move their pup onto our adult recipes around the age of one. To do this transition and avoid upset tums, it’s best to transition gradually over 7–10 days. Start by mixing a small amount of adult food with your the current puppy food, then slowly increase the ratio of adult food each day. Great question! These are gut-friendly ingredients we use to enrich our dry food recipes and support your pet’s gut health, which plays a big role in their digestion, immunity, and overall wellbeing. Prebiotics are the fibre that feed the good bacteria already living in your pet’s gut, like Slippery Elm and Inulin. Probiotics are the live, friendly bacteria themselves, which help to balance the gut microbiome and crowd out bad bacteria. We use the probiotic Enterococcus Faecium, known for its poop-perfecting qualities.

Puppy and toy breed kibble measures roughly 7.5mm in diameter and 5mm deep, designed to be easy-to-eat for small mouths. If you are looking for something a little larger you could try our chicken dry food recipe at 10mm diameter, 6mm deep, our turkey recipe at 12mm or our salmon dry dog food which is 17.5mm diameter.

Our recipes are made with minimally processed, natural ingredients. Because we use natural ingredients and avoid over-processing, you might notice slight variations in size, texture, and smell from batch to batch - this is totally normal! Occasionally, you may also come across small oat fibres, small bone fragments, or visible pieces of carrots and other ingredients. Once you have opened a bag of our dry cat or dog food, we advise that you use it within 3 months. Make sure to reseal the bag to maintain freshness and nutritional quality. Store in a cool, dry place and always check the best-before date on the bag. Even better, decant it into an airtight container for peak crunch-preserving power.

Absolutely! All our dry dog food recipes are complete and balanced, so you can mix and match with other complete flavours to keep mealtimes exciting. Switching between recipes should be okay for most pets, just introduce new flavours gradually if your pooch has a particularly sensitive tum.
