Krunchies: Calming Cat Treats

Our calming cat treats are made with chamomile and valerian root, alongside delicious chicken. With a crunchy outside and soft centre, they’re a tasty way to reward your kitty or round off their bedtime routine. As one cat parent put it: "Great calming treats. Give my cats 5 each at bedtime and sends them off to the land off nod and I get an undisturbed nights sleep 😄"

Valerian extract comes from the root of a pretty purple flower and contains actinidine, which can induce a brief euphoric state in cats lasting 5 to 30 minutes. Unlike catnip, valerian may then help some cats mellow out or even fall asleep. As they're only natural, roughly 50% of cats respond to valerian, like with catnip.

Yes! Our treats contain a carefully measured amount of valerian root extract and are suitable for kittens from 8 weeks old. Every kitty is different, and younger kittens may not respond to valerian root in the same way as older cats. But they can still enjoy a tasty treat!

A happy cat is a relaxed cat, and there are a few simple ways to help keep stress at bay. Start by creating a quiet, cosy haven where they can retreat from noise and commotion. Make sure all their essentials, like a clean litter tray, fresh food and water, and a sturdy scratching post are always available. And of course, keep a stash of calming treats with valerian root extract on hand to give them an extra helping paw in feeling safe and settled.

Our tasty pet treats come in recyclable Mono PE bags that help keep them fresher for longer. You can currently recycle them through participating soft plastic recycling points, including those at some supermarkets. Changes to UK recycling collections are on the way, with more households expected to be able to recycle flexible plastic packaging at the kerbside from 2027. In the meantime, check your local recycling guidance to find the best option near you.

Our pillow cat treats are made with all-natural ingredients, including free-run chicken, and contain no artificial additives or added sugar. We’re transparent about what goes in, clearly listing every ingredient and avoiding vague terms like “cereals,” so you know exactly what you’re feeding your cat.

Each bag of Krunchies weighs 60g, filled with perfectly bite-sized treats for daily rewarding or supplementing your cat’s diet. On average, each treat weighs around 0.4g.

For an average 4–5kg cat, serve 10–15 low-calorie treats per day. Always provide fresh water, and adjust their main meals to prevent weight gain, because treats should be a bonus, not a belt-stretcher.

Give your kitty their Krunchies calming treats 20-30 minutes before a known stressor like fireworks, vet visits, grooming sessions or travel. They're also perfect as a relaxing bedtime treat.

Our calming treats encourage relaxation, not sedation. They help take the edge off without making your cat drowsy.
